The key is to listen, and listen well. Not just to the words they are saying, if they are willing to discuss the issue, but to what they aren’t saying.

If they’re willing to share with you (or if you think you’ve got a pretty good idea of what’s going on), you can address whatever circumstances or issues you are able to.

While you can be an instrument in their healing, they need to take action on their own.
