On our way up to Vermont a couple of weeks ago, Amy and I stopped at Grayson Highlands State Park in Mouth of Wilson, VA. We were planning to camp at the park that night and finish the trip the next day. Meanwhile, we hiked up into the hills to get a look at the park’s most famous attraction: wild ponies!
Rain was threatening that afternoon, but the weather stayed mostly clear until we were on our way back down. This was lucky, because I had big plans for this walk! When we reached a hilltop with a nice view all around, I asked Amy to marry me.

Here are several pics of the scenery of Grayson Highlands, Amy (my fiancee!), and the ponies that we encountered.
